At the Sacre Coeur basilica, there were a number of performers and entertainers.
He sang John Lennon's "Imagine" as the rows of people sitting on the steps clapped in tune and sang along. Music really does bring people together.
He bounced the soccer ball off his feet, knees, shoulders, and even head! You can't see it from this photo, but there was a 10 foot drop off that pillar from the back.
Two Brazilian capoeira dancers.
Such skill! And the woman's face is priceless.

Louvre: the old and the new
While the Louvre (above) may be more famous than the Musee d'Orsay (below), I prefer the latter. The d'Orsay building was originally an old train station (super cool!) and today has a lovely collection of art from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. My favorite works? Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec's charcoal masterpieces.
I'm hoping to go to more museums this summer in the San Francisco area: I definitely want to see the new King Tut exhibit at the de Young. Any other suggestions? What are your favorite museums?

Out to lunch
One of the best parts of Paris? The little cafes (or 'brasseries' as the French say) that dot nearly every street corner. What's your favorite French food?

Paris at night
I spent the past week in Paris and from sightseeing to eating delicious food (banana + nutella + crepe = yum!) to meeting up with old friends, it was a wonderful trip. Expect lots of Paris photos in upcoming posts.
