Out to lunch

One of the best parts of Paris? The little cafes (or 'brasseries' as the French say) that dot nearly every street corner. What's your favorite French food?

Chess

Montmartre is a beautiful district in Paris where tourists, open air markets, art, and the famous Sacre Coeur basilica come together. At one outdoor art gallery, I spotted these two men playing chess. I loved the way the paintings framed the scene too much to pass up this shot.

The Seine at sunrise

I hauled myself out of bed at 5:00 to walk along the Seine and take these photos. The shots I took early on were pretty dark; these photos above were taken closer to 6:30. I love the gradual change of colors in the sky!

Paris at night

I spent the past week in Paris and from sightseeing to eating delicious food (banana + nutella + crepe = yum!) to meeting up with old friends, it was a wonderful trip. Expect lots of Paris photos in upcoming posts.
