I spent last weekend in Carmel with my family - the weather was perfect and we were so close to the water. One night, we went to the beach and built a fire. The sunset was beautiful.
I like the star-like shape that the waves etched into the sand in the last photo. Sorry for all the close-ups of the waves crashing against the shore: I was having way too much fun slowing the shutter speed and letting the water blur.
Hey Kaytee
ReplyDeleteI really love how the pictures (with the blur water) look exactly like painted portraits. they remind me of the oil paintings i used to paint.
(4th to last one especially)
Beautiful pics. I love the ocean!

You have captured the movement of the waves beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI have never read the quote in your blog header before but I love it, so true and appropriate. I see photography as culling for composure, I'm constantly asking myself what do I not want to display in my photo.
Thanks for leaving comment on my blog and allowing me to find you.
Bonfires are so fun! and I think the pictres look amazing!
