Breakfast at Balthazar

It's Wednesday. It's hump day! I hope you're finding a good way to get yourself through this week. I totally am.

I drank my way through a wall of wine this morning!

Kidding. Tooooootally kidding. But I did go to Balthazar, a  French restaurant and bakery, with two of my favorite lady friends to celebrate our last week of work in the big city.

Sophomore Summer

It's been amazing so far. I thought I would miss Paris, but it's good to be back.

Free Hugs at Notre Dame

A Sunday afternoon walk around the Saint Germain des Prés area led me to colorful candy shops, used book sales, and group of people giving free hugs (calins gratuits en français) outside of Notre Dame. Quelle bonne idée!

Une Américaine à Paris: Père Lachaise Cemetery

I'm fortunate enough to be in Paris for the next two months on a study abroad program, and I'm currently trying to explore the city, visit museums, improve my French and, of course, eat as many pâtisseries as possible!
Here are some photos from the famous Cimetière du Père-Lachaise, where a number of famous people are buried - including Balzac, Moliere, and Jim Morrison. It's a hauntingly beautiful place.
